This article covers the following topics:

PAGE OVERVIEW

To get started, access the Housekeeping menu page, where you will discover various pieces of information.

By default, the page will show details for the current day. However, if you wish to review information for upcoming days, you can do so by adjusting the date displayed on the top left corner of the page.

The Housekeeping menu page offers an insightful overview of the current situation within the hotel, presenting information under three main categories:

  • Room status:  the information displayed here represents the number of rooms based on their status such as, empty, stayover, departed, etc.

  • Cleanliness: here we display the number of dirty, cleaned and inspected rooms.

  • Attributes: show the number of various attributes such as due in, room for inspection, etc.

A detailed explanation of how the displayed numbers are calculated and what they represent can be found here.

ALLOCATING THE ROOMS

To start allocating the rooms the first thing that we need to do is to select the housekeepers on duty. Navigate to the Room list section and press on the Choose housekeepers on duty button. The list of the users will appear. Select the people who are on duty on that specific day. Once selected, you will notice that the “allocation card” for each housekeeper will appear.

On the right side of the screen, the list of rooms is displayed. To assign the room to the housekeeper, a few options are available:

  1. Select the room with the mouse by dragging and dropping

  2. Select the rooms, navigate to the housekeeper card and click on Add selected rooms or

  3. Select the rooms, use the right mouse button and from the drop-down menu select the person who should be cleaning the rooms.

Once the allocation is complete, ensure to navigate to the top of the page and press the green Confirm button to save the change.

ROOM FILTERS

Filters allow you to narrow the list of rooms that you need to assign by sector. Next to the filter button, there is a funnel symbol that allows you to filter the room based on:

  • Room status: departure, stayover, empty and out of order

  • Attributes: Due in of for check

  • Cleanliness: dirty, inspected, clean or for inspection.

FUTURE ALLOCATION

To access the weekly view, locate the Day view button in the top right corner and click on it. From the drop-down menu, select the week view. This action will display the calendar and the list of housekeepers.

At the upper part of the screen, you'll find an option to choose the starting day for the week view. Pick the desired day from the list provided. On the right-hand side, there is a setting to define the daily working hours for the housekeepers. If their typical working day is, for instance, 7 hours, you should input 420 minutes as the value.

On the calendar, you can determine for each housekeeper whether they are working or not. Click on the day and the following options will appear:

  • Working,

  • Sick leave,

  • Holidays and

  • Not working

Select the status that applies to each employee and save the changes.
